Aria Kate Whitehead

Just 6 days after coming into the world, our sweet girl Aria Kate passed away in the arms of her daddy and into the arms of Jesus at IU Health North in Carmel, Indiana. 

Born nearly 17 weeks early and weighing only 1 pound 4 ounces, Aria was a fighter, but must have missed her sister so very much.  She was able to grip the finger of her mother and father and respond to their touch and kick at the nurses when they tried to do their job of taking care of her during her brief stay on earth.  She was born at 10:10 AM on March 8 and passed away on March 14 at 12:28 PM.

Aria joins her twin sister, Caroline Jade Whitehead; grandfather Jim Hawkins; her great-grandparents William & Virginia Hawkins and Howard & Marge Tunmer, in Heaven.  

She is survived by her father and mother, Christopher & Meg Whitehead; her grandparents Jeff & Tish Whitehead; her grandmother Jane Hawkins; great-grandparents Dan & Sue Purvis, Elaine Hall, and James & Judy Parrett; aunts and uncles Andrew & Holly Whitehead, John & Amy McKay, and Stacey Hawkins; cousins Hunter McKay, Karly McKay, Gabe Hawkins, Hallee Whitehead, and Audree Whitehead.  

"You were only in our arms for a moment, but you will be a lifetime in our hearts"
