Brian K. Sharp

Brian K. Sharp, age 61, entered into rest on Tuesday July 23, 2019, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, IN.

Brian was born in Tipton, IN on April 7, 1958 to Tom and Renate (Conrad) Sharp.  Brian married Tina Hogan on April 21, 2012 at Normanda Christian Church; she survives.

Brian was a 1976 graduate of Tri-Central High School.  He worked for Campbell Seed and then moved on to Duke where he worked as a lineman for twenty-six years. 

Brian was a master gardener growing many varieties of vegetables and big, beautiful sunflowers.  Brian was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer, fishing, and just being in the woods; it’s where he felt most at home.  He loved to read and watch old westerns, especially those with John Wayne.  Brian had a great love of passing on his vast knowledge of gardening, gun safety, and outdoor life to children.  He may have looked tough on the outside, but he was a big teddy bear that loved to make people laugh. 

Brian had two dogs, Daisy & Katie, from the age of six weeks old and he loved them dearly.  They were by his side from the start and always wanted to be where he was.  We’re certain Katie was one of the first to greet him at the pearly gates of Heaven!         

Those left to carry on Brian’s legacy of love are his wife Tina Sharp; mother Renate Sharp; children Malisha Sharp, James Hunter, Brandon LeMay & family, Casey LeMay & family; sister Heidi (John) Freeman; brother Dan (Christy) Sharp; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  

Brian was welcomed into Heaven by his father Tom Sharp and grandparents Paul & Inez Sharp and Herbert & Elfriede Conrad.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 27 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home located at 314 N. Main Street Tipton, IN.  A funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Mike Nafziger officiating.
