Curtis E. Lacy

Curtis Lacy, age 79, of Tipton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2019 following an extended illness. He was born on May 27, 1940 to William Lacy and Ethel (McCain) Lacy.

Curtis was a 1958 graduate of Tipton High School. He also proudly served in the United States Army, and was an active member of the American Legion, Post 46. Through the years, Curtis earned his living by working construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns. Curtis was a jokester…he loved to make people laugh. He was engaging, and always took the time to make those around him feel special and loved. Curtis will be greatly missed!

Those left to carry on Curtis’ legacy of love are his siblings, Lenora Boyd, Wilma Dane & Wilbur Lacy; children, Teresa, Silvia, Terry & Earl; and several nieces & nephews.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel (McCain) Lacy and a brother, William Lacy Jr.

To honor Curtis’ wishes, no services will be held. Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home in Tipton have been entrusted with arrangements.
