Jiminey- Cricket Hill

Jiminey-Cricket Hill, age 15, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday July 15, 2019.  He was born in December of 2003 and was the runt of the litter.     

Jiminey, or Jim-Jim as his momma often called him, was chosen for his small size and great big beautiful eyes.  His mom was stationed in Korea and knew she was moving back home after her deployment; she was looking forward to settling in her hometown and wanted to add a dog that could go anywhere with her.  She found Jiminey online and her sister and brother in law went to pick him up and kept him until she returned home.  He was so tiny, only weighing a half pound!  He was introduced to his cousin dogs, Conway and Jackson, that outweighed him by a good 50 pounds, but they loved each other instantly and their friendships lasted their lifetime. They were always excited to see each other no matter how much time had passed.

It wasn’t long after Jiminey went to his forever home that his mom decided to get him his very own brother, Hershel.  They were inseparable and Hershel will be lost without his brother.  They would often be found laying in the sun together, fighting over who got the best spot in the kennel, and taking one piece of food at a time away from the bowl to eat, leaving the pieces they didn't like for last.  

Jiminey liked to be where the action was.  He liked to be in the know and wanted to be in the middle of everything that was going on.  He was tiny but fierce!  He wasn’t afraid of too many things except thunderstorms.   He was a little cuddle bug, always wanting to be in someone’s lap.  He liked to be wherever his momma was, lay in the sun, hanging out with family, and going on walks. He was never a fan of hardwood floors and would prefer to be carried across them to carpet.  He loved to sleep on anything fluffy and was often found sleeping with his big fluffy alligator!   

His momma is going to miss her little buddy and his big personality.  We know that he was welcomed into Heaven, on the other side of the rainbow bridge, by his cousins Conway and Jackson. 

Jiminey is survived by his Momma Rachelle, Dad Brook, and his furry brother Hershel.
