Rene Eileen (Hill) Sterling, age 60, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in South Bend, IN.
Rene was born in Kokomo, IN on October 5, 1958 to Wayne Hill and Shirley (Moran) Miller.
Rene was a quiet woman that often kept to herself. She loved her family with great passion, her grandbabies were the light of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her boys and visited with them as often as she could. Rene appreciated nature and enjoyed the solitude of fishing and writing poetry. She was working on a book that she called her angel book where she was recounting all of the angels she had come across. She always kept an immaculate house and would rather cook a meal than go out to eat; she said she could cook a hamburger better than any McDonald’s! She was someone that made you feel special just by sitting down and talking with her. Rene had a beautiful, kind soul that will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Those left to carry on Rene’s legacy of love are children, Jason (Jessica) Goughnour and Josh (Amanda) Sterling; mother, Shirley Miller; Brother, Tim (Melody) Hill; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Bridget Baumfalk, and Charlie, Charlotte, & Caitlin Goughnour; cousins, Preston Miller, Lora Boruff, and John Moran; nieces, Rachelle (Brook) Hill-Wells and Sarah (Dave) Taylor; and nephew, Zachary Miller.
Rene was welcomed into Heaven by her father, Wayne Hill; brother, Troy Miller; grandparents, Edith Snider, and Edna & Grover Greer; aunt Barbara Moran; and cousin, Melissa Miller.
A visitation for family and friends will take place on Friday, July 19 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home located at 314 N. Main Street Tipton, IN. A funeral service celebrating Rene’s life will take place on Saturday, July 20 at Noon at Taylor and Cowan Funeral Home, with Preacher Lehman Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden in Kokomo.
