Ruth Maxine (Reynolds) Nantroup, age 84, of Tipton, entered into Heaven on Monday, December 16, 2019. Maxine was born on August 27, 1935 in Parma, Missouri to her parents, Bradley and Theda (Grubbs) Reynolds.
Maxine attended high school in Tipton, IN. She married Lawrence Nantroup in 1955, he precedes her in death. They shared 49 years of marriage together. Maxine worked as a housekeeper for St. Joseph Mother House where she later retired.
Maxine was known for keeping an immaculate house. Her house was very welcoming; she always had a lot of visitors, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking delicious cakes and pumpkin pies for all to enjoy and the aroma carried throughout the whole house. She had a knack for finding great deals at garage sales and if prices were too high, she let them know. Maxine loved to go fishing with Lawrence and while she enjoyed mushroom hunting, she never ate them. She was a wonderful friend, mother, sister, and grandma; she will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Those left to carry on Maxine’s legacy of love are her children, Tammy Davis and Steve (Cindy) Nantroup; brother, Paul Reynolds; sister, Lil Gaiser; grandchildren, Trisha, Kaylee, Josh, Danny, and Jason; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Maxine was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Bradley and Theda (Grubbs) Reynolds; husband, Lawrence Nantroup; brothers, Bud, Billy, and Charlie Reynolds; and sisters, Patsy Britt and Betty Jean Reynolds.
A funeral service celebrating Maxine’s life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 1:00pm at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N.
