Sweeter than Sugar left this world March 16, 2019. She was twelve years old and was loved deeply by so many. She was born February 16, 2007 to owners, Sue and Duane Royer of Delphi, Indiana. She was a grand champion of various dog show competitions in the Midwest and admired for her beauty and sweet nature. Sugar was everybody's little buddy. She was very laid back and calm. In her later years, she was rehomed to Kokomo, Indiana, and was instantly bonded with her new family. She was given new nicknames, including: "Sug," "Suggie," "Suggie Bear," "Sugar Muffin," "Gummy Bear," and "Mirror Girl," as she found a new favorite spot at her new home in front of a mirror. She often stared into the mirror for long periods of time and napped there, peacefully enjoying her retirement from competing. She provided comfort and cuddles, and was always the best companion to taking it easy on the couch watching TV. She often accompanied her new owner to work and was loved by many teachers and students. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her human mom, Ginger, uncle Todd (of Plainfield), and her fellow Pekingese, Lena, of Kokomo, Indiana.
We will always remember you, Suggie Bear. You were our Sugar Muffin and we will love you forever.
