Arley Arnold Hill
Arley Arnold Hill, age 74, of Sharpsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021 while being surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. Arley was born on March 18, 1946, to his parents, Athes Hill & Mertie (Weaver) Cooper.
Arley grew up, and went to school in Howard County, IN. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp.,and fought in the Vietnam War. On July 5, 1988, Arley married the love of his life, Susan (Oyler) Hill and the two enjoyed 33 years of marriage. Through the years, Arley worked for Continental Steel, ran his own construction company, and also worked for Chrysler Corp., where he finally retired in 2009.
In Arley’s spare time, he enjoyed fishing and camping; especially fishing and boating in Florida. As much as Arley really enjoyed getting away with his family, he also really enjoyed being at home too. He took great pride in his home, that he built from the ground up. With Arley’s meticulous work ethic, there is nothing his family couldn’t depend on him for. You would have been hard pressed to find anything that he couldn’t repair or master.
Arley was a unique guy! In many ways he was a caregiver for his family and friends. He took charge of all the details to make sure everyone around him was comfortable and happy. Arley’s family and friends will miss many things about him; especially sitting in his garage with him, conversing on any topic… but more than anything, they will miss his amazingly loyal heart!
Those left to carry on Arley’s legacy of love are his Wife, Susan (Oyler) Hill; Daughter, Michelle (Matthew) Herlth; Grandchildren, Ryan Carpenter, Brooke Daily, Jason Herlth, Felicia Daily, Gabriel Daily; Siblings, A.C. (Janet) Hill, Mary Lou (Jay) Justice, Ruth Ann (Dan) Miller; and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Arley was welcomed into Heaven by his Parents, Athes Hill & Mertie (Weaver) Cooper; and his Siblings, Eva Williams, Eldon Hill and Joyce Hill.
Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, Tipton, IN is honored to serve the Hill family in their time of need. At Arley’s request, there will be no formal services planned. However, please feel free to leave an online condolence or share a special memory of Arley with his family on his tribute wall.
