Baron Von Meadows Obituary

A beautiful tribute written by Mendel's mom, Karen Meadows

 Baron Mendel-Pooh Von Meadows
                        "Mendel"

Mendel transitioned from this world and into the next early Wednesday morning, March 15th surrounded by those that loved him the most and that he loved the most as well.

Our sweet Mendel-Pooh came to us after a previous furbaby left this world and his name became "Mendel" as it means to comfort and console, which he did quite well. He was an extremely gentle and loving soul and if your heart was hurting, he'd look you directly in the eyes and hand you his left paw (because he was left-handed) and make you hold his paw in your hand while he sat there patiently waiting for you to feel happy again, which was quickly indeed as no soul could ever stay unhappy with that going on.
He loved to go hiking and could always lead you in the direction of the trail path and exits even if it was covered over. His most favorite things included flying duck toys, catching balls, playing in pools and sprinklers, catching floating bubbles in the air, car rides, walks, fig bars and cheese popcorn. He also loved being around his family during fire pit nights and couldn't wait until someone broke out the hotdogs over the fire. He had a great talent at perfectly catching whip cream flying out of the can and into the air! A lot of times he thought he was a Pointer dog as he would take his left paw and point at something he wanted and then sometimes he thought he was a 3 pound Chihuahua as he'd plop right on your lap if you sat in the recliner and he'd fall right asleep with you. But mostly, he thought he was a human, and he was, just with fur. He was funny, charming, adorable, and comforting. Every time we came home he would greet us at the door with a big huge smile and he would make a "U" shape with his body and do a little dance and skip around the floor from one room into the next and come full circle back to you again for hugs. Every time someone he loved came home he had a cause for a great celebration!

Mendel's remaining family here in this world include his fur sister Masie-Mae, his human family Scott, Karen, Lacey and Shainna. His adoptive fur-mom Basil Lula-Belle preceded him into the next world where we know she was waiting for him when he stepped into the light as she loved him immensely.

Mendel loved music and loved when people danced and so his urn will be fitted with a music box that plays Frank Sinatra, "Fly Me to The Moon".

Thank you Mendel-Pooh for giving us a good life. We love you eternally and we'll see you again. ❤️
