Bruce Edward Parton, age 64, of Tipton passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born on October 9, 1958, to his parents, Robert Edward Parton & Ina Jean (Morris) Parton. Bruce married the love of his life, Debra Jeanne (Jones) Parton on August 5, 2012; however the two were together many years before their marriage date and were thankful for every moment they shared.
Bruce graduated from Tipton High School in the Class of 1976. He worked for Steel Parts in Tipton for about 12 years. Bruce is best known for his years of employment at Tipton High School. He was the Athletic Custodian for over 25 years. It was evident to anyone paying attention that Bruce was extremely committed to his responsibilities. Every single athletic event that took place at Tipton High School was coordinated and overseen by Bruce. He worked hand in hand with the administration, coaches, and the student athletes. Not only did Bruce go above and beyond, always doing more than what was required of him, he was also a tremendous encourager for many of the student athletes! Recently, Bruce began working for Fairview Cemetery in Tipton as a grounds keeper.
Bruce was a member of the Moose Lodge in Tipton. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and fantasy football. It goes without saying that Bruce had an impeccable work ethic, and it was applied to every aspect of his life. He believed in doing things the right way! This made him a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Bruce was very committed to his family, and recently had discovered that being a “Grandpa” was the best job in the world! His crazy sense of humor and quick wit led the way no matter what he was up to. If Bruce Parton was a part of your life you knew you had someone you could call any time of the day to help you. He was kind-hearted, easy-going, and always had a smile on his face to brighten your day. Bruce believed in leaving those who crossed his path better than how he found them; for this, he will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him!
Those left to carry on Bruce’s legacy of love are his wife, Debbie Parton; children, Jason (Rachel) Sayers, Michael Sayers, Matthew (Ana) Sayers; adopted daughter, Kaylee Sayers; grandchildren, Austin, Elizabeth, Jacob, Samantha, Trevor, Drew, Jaxson, Noah; great grandchildren, Big Buddy, Little Buddy, Princess; siblings, Phil Parton, Kim (Tony) Rood, Diane Plake, Chris Parton; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
