Carol Ann Wolverton

Carol Ann Wolverton, 70, of Tipton passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born in Tipton on March 6, 1955 to her parents, John Wesley Wolverton and Betty Irene (Herron) Wolverton. Carol graduated from Tipton High School in the class of 1974. She worked as a Pharmacy Tech for Tipton Hospital for more than 30 years. Carol then worked for Park 100 Foods in Tipton for several years before finally retiring.

Carol was a sweet spirit, whose kindness touched everyone she met. She loved her cats, her plants, and her many adventures, especially traveling to the mountains of Utah, Montana and Wyoming. Carol cherished the memories of her recent girl’s trips to visit Yellowstone, Glacier and Grand Teton National Parks.

Carol was very strong and steady in her faith, and was a proud member of the Vineyard Church in Tipton for many years. She was never able to have children of her own, which made her nieces and nephews all the more precious to her. Carol was a proud aunt! She was simply a gentle and loving woman; a true friend to anyone who needed her. Carol will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her!  

Those left to carry on Carol’s legacy of love are her sister, Mary Garmon; brother-in-law, Tom Achenbach; nieces and nephews, Wesley Garmon (Becca), Alison Garmon, Jenna Burger (Zach), Marla Miller (Chris), Lori Wainwright (Ross), Elizabeth Lovell (Jim); as well as several great nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Wolverton; brother, Kenny Wolverton; sister, Lisa Achenbach; and brother-in-law, Sonny Garmon.

A graveside service celebrating Carol’s life will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton with Pastor Jody Brown officiating.
