Chad Wayne Lawson

Chad Wayne Lawson, age 37, of Fairmount, passed away peacefully, holding his wife's hand, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born on November 20, 1985 to his parents, Donald Wayne Lawson & Rachel Lynn (Draper) Lawson. Chad married the love of his life, Haley Marie (King) Lawson on October 11, 2017. Though the two only had 5 years of marriage, a lifetime of love was crammed into their time together!  

Chad graduated from Mississinewa High School in the Class of 2006. He worked at Carey Services in production from 2015 through 2022. Chad just recently had begun working for Dunham’s Distribution Center in Marion.  

Chad had a quirky sense of humor, which made him a lot of fun to hang out with. He was very loving, kind, and easy going. He always preferred staying home over having an evening out. When Chad was a kid he really liked fishing. In his adult years his favorite thing turned into quality time with his family. You could often find Chad curled up on the couch, watching a movie with his wife, kids, and beloved dog in his lap.  

Chad believed in living a simple life. He focused his attention primarily on his family and small circle of friends. He took great pride in being dependable and loyal to those he loved. Chad was a hero to his family; he was his wife’s best friend and protector. He was a wonderful father to his kids; a loyal brother to his siblings, and a devoted son to his mother. He will be missed beyond measure!  

Those left to carry on Chad’s legacy of love are his wife, Haley Lawson; kids, Ona Esarey, Andre Esarey; mother, Rachel Lawson; siblings, Donald Lawson, Jonathan Lawson, Jasmine Lawson; 8 nephews; 7 nieces; mother-in-law, Karen King; brother-in-law, Jake King; lifelong friends, Casey and Anthony; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Chad was welcomed into Heaven by his dad, Donald Lawson; Nana & Papaw Lawson; grandpa, John Draper; and father-in-law, Larry King.   

 A funeral service celebrating Chad’s life will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. in Tipton, IN with Pastor Brad Swain officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
