Deanna Scott

Deanna Scott, 66, entered into rest on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton, Indiana.

Deanna was born in Harlan, KY on October 26, 1952 to Thedore Kelly and Thelma (Casteel) Phillips. 

Deanna was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1970. She worked as a welder, and hotel manager, retiring in 2009. 

Deanna was a wonderful friend to all who knew her. Her friends and family describe her always being thoughtful of others. Deanna was a Nana to her friends grandchildren, they adored her. She enjoyed watching her daily soap operas, Days of Our Lives was her favorite. She also enjoyed riding all over town, calling it her round about. 

Those left to carry on Deanna’s legacy of love are her brother, aunt, great uncle, and cousins.  

Deanna was welcomed into Heaven by her parents; her brothers David Kelly and Dennis Kelly; her sister Anita Kelly; and her grandparents. 

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, October 1 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home located at 314 N. Main Street Tipton, IN.  A funeral service celebrating Deanna’s life will take place immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton.
