        Derrick Ogden, age 35, of Tipton, was welcomed into Heaven on Friday, March 5, 2021. Derrick was born on January 4, 1986 to his loving mother, Angie Ogden.

        Derrick grew up in Tipton, graduating from Tipton High School in the Class of 2005. He was his mother’s first born child, and there wasn’t a day that went by that she wasn’t proud of her son. Derrick had a unique demeanor!  He was never afraid to be himself, or have his own convictions and opinions. Those who knew him well, appreciated these qualities about him. Derrick’s big heart often led his pathway in life, as he loved his family well! In Derrick’s spare time he enjoyed BMX Biking, skateboarding, online gaming, and playing his guitar. He will be so greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him!     

Those left to carry on Derrick’s legacy of love are his Mother, Angie Ogden; Daughter, Alyssa Ogden; Step-Son, Matthew Lane; Brother, Jake (Brittney) Shepherd; Sister, Shelbie Shepherd (Noah Lynch); Nephew, Cooper Shepherd; Grandparents, Mae and George Ogden; Aunts & Uncles, Bruce & Becky Schulenburg, Bobby & Lenora Ogden, Jeff & LaMonica Ogden; as well as several cousins and extended family members.

        A graveside service celebrating Derrick’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 12noon at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton, IN., with Pastor Logan Westrick officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to services from 10:00am to 11:45am at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. in Tipton.

Please remember that the wearing of masks of facial coverings will be required at the funeral home and cemetery.
