Diane Stout, age 65, of Sharpsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She was born on December 26, 1955, to her parents, Ambrose & Ruby (Meadows) Netherton. Diane married the love of her life, Terry Stout. The two shared 45 years of marriage before he passed away on July 24, 2016.
Diane attended Tipton High School. A few years after Diane & Terry were married, she started babysitting. She put her heart and soul into the little people that she spent her days with. With more than 40 years under her belt, she came to be known as the “Grandma of Sharpsville”! Nothing meant more to Diane than her family. She never missed an activity that her grandchildren were involved in.
Diane was known for always keeping a tidy house and yard; she took great pride in her work. She was so giving, whether it was her time or something material, she always did it with a loving heart. If you knew Diane even a little, you knew how funny she was! She never held back her opinion, which made it nice, because you never had to guess where you stood with her. One of Diane’s favorite things to do when she had free time was to watch the Hallmark channel and enjoy a Diet Coke. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to carry on Diane’s legacy of love are her Children, Lisa (Keith) Lopossa, Chasity Phifer, Sabrina Newton, Terry (Amanda) Stout; Grandchildren, Ray (Cyrissa) Sheppard, Chaslyn Ruddick, Trayjan Phifer, Jie Phifer, Skyler Newton, Isabelle Newton, Logan Newton, Simon Newton, Elijah Stout, Jaida Stout; Great-Grandchildren, Brooklyn Sheppard, Maggie Sheppard, Abraham Ruddick, Evie Jo Ruddick; Siblings, Terry Netherton, Larry (Norma) Netherton, Debbie Bess, Darlene Peters; Brother-In-Law, Winfred Ritter; and Sister-In-Law, Judy Netherton.
Diane was welcomed into Heaven by her Parents, Ambrose & Ruby Stout; Husband, Terry Stout, three brothers and five sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main Street Tipton, IN at 1:00PM with Pastor Mike Ennis officiating. A visitation for friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Committal will follow the service at Sharpsville Cemetery.
