Donald Eugene Miller, age 85, of Atlanta, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Donnie was born in Tipton, Indiana on March 18, 1937, to his parents, Perry & Sarah (Dickey) Miller.
Donnie was a graduate of Tipton High School, class of 1955. After high school, he went on to Indiana University where he was an active participant in the ROTC program. He worked his way up through the ranks, achieving the rank of Captain. Once he separated from the military, he joined the family farm where he raised crops and animals. Donnie was a very private man but if he let you in, you should count yourself one of the lucky ones. He was a kind man with a gentle spirit, and while you may not have known that from the outside looking in…if you knew, you knew. He was an incredibly hard worker and took pride in everything he did. Donnie had a big heart and he cared deeply for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
