Elizabeth “Becky” Bennett Leo

Elizabeth “Becky” Bennett Leo, age 73, of Largo, FL, and formerly of Kokomo, IN, died on February 9, 2020 at home. Becky was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed away.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton & Thresia Bennett; her sister, Helen “Dewey” Miller; her granddaughter, Chelsey Bitner; and her husband, Walt Leo.

Becky is survived by her sisters, Connie McKay and Kae Bennett; her five children, Rich Bitner and wife Angie, Rob Bitner and wife Donna, Joe Bitner and wife Becky, Greg Bitner and wife Shellie, Shannon Bitner and fiancé Shawn; 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Becky was born in Kokomo, IN on October 3, 1946. Kokomo was home to Becky for many years; all five of her children were born and raised there. Later in life, Becky moved to Largo, Fl where she met and married Walt Leo. Becky and Walt enjoyed entertaining friends and family, as well as taking road trips together. Becky enjoyed knitting, crocheting and teaching others how to do anything related to crafts.

A big thank you is extended to the hospice staff for their loving support while taking such good care of Becky.

A funeral service celebrating Becky’s life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. in Tipton, IN with Pastor Adam Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery in Kokomo, IN. Visitation for family and friends will take place prior to the service from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the funeral home.
