A beautiful tribute written by: Gabrielle Hayword
Elyza Hayword crossed over the rainbow bridge on December 6, 2024. She came to us about 11 years ago. I went to pick out which puppy I wanted from the litter and she was the only one that came to me.
Elyza was very loving but she was also very comedic. She knew how to meow like a cat, and she could also bark/talk. She could say “Mama” and “Love You”. Cuddling with her was the best. She seemed to know whenever I was struggling. During the loss of all my grandparents she literally never left my side. She would either be curled up on my lap, or nudging her head under my hand, licking my hand, or just doing whatever she could to make sure she was near me and interacting with me in some way.
Through the years Elyza has meant everything to me. She literally has been an emotional support and taught me a lot about love. She was definitely like my first child.
She was absolutely perfect and will never be forgotten!
Elyza is survived by her momma, Gabrielle; daddy, Travis; and sisters, Elena & Esme.
