Jackson’s mom, Malisha wrote a beautiful tribute to her special boy.
Jackson Sharp passed away February 21, 2022. He was born February 14, 2003 in Sheridan, Indiana.
19 years ago he was supposed to be a barn cat, but he ended up an inside cat that weighted almost 20 pounds.
But, he was no ordinary cat. He had great training from Fredia, a dog he grew up with for several years.
He leaned how to sit for treats, play fetch, and when someone would knock at the door, he was growling, but could not bark. He absolutely loved dog food. To the point I had to give him vitamins that he was missing from cat food.
He absolutely loved the sun, and he knew when the Christmas tree came out, he had a place to lay for couple of months. He even got to the point he wanted the tree lights on ALL the time. He let me know about it if I shut them off. He loved the light from the tree.
Jackson was my best friend. He knew all my secrets (because we had many chats), and was there when humans were not. He loved me unconditionally and gave me the strength to live life, when life was dark for me.
I will forever be grateful for his love and companionship. He wanted to stick around long enough to know I was OK. He helped me down the road to find love and companionship besides him.
I love you sweet Jackson. Rest easy my friend. I can not wait to see you in heaven when the time comes. I know you are in good hands with God, and my mom (Kathy Sharp).
Here on earth: Malisha Sharp, Zach Phifer, and Brynlee Lawson. Jackson's AMAZING sitters, Shannon Hinton and Kim Stakelback.
In Heaven: Kathy Sharp and Donna Bagley. They loved him so much.
