Jarrod Allen Jones, age 48, of Tipton, born December 23, 1974, in Tipton County to Judy Jones Birge and Allen Jones.
Jarrod attended Tipton Community Schools, Madison High School in Alabama, and finished his education at Athens State College in Alabama.
Jarrod previously worked at Insight Cable, Xfinity Comcast, and was currently employed by Site One Landscape Services in Noblesville.
Jarrod was the current board president of the Tipton Baseball League and was an instrumental part of the renovations of the new baseball fields at the Tipton City Park. His love for sports started at the age of five when he played for the Tipton Pee Wee League all the way through Babe Ruth.
Jarrod had also coached many baseball teams through the years. He was an avid fan of the Cubs, Colts, Alabama Roll Tide, and of course, Tipton baseball. Another favorite pastime of his besides sports was having nightly “hang-out sessions” playing Xbox with his son and nephews. Jarrod always looked forward to family get-together‘s, especially their family Fourth of July parties, where his ultimate goal was to not burn down the barn or the trees.
Jarrod loved to vacation with his wife and family and Gulf Shores, Alabama, where he had hoped to retire one day.
Jarrod is survived by his wife, Tamara (Scheffler) Jones; mother, Judy Birge; stepfather, Albert Ratcliff; mother and father-in-law, Earl and Judy Scheffler; his children, Kelby Jones (Michael Casas), Issac Jones (Kyndal Borders), Gavin Jones and his brother, Aiden Kerr; stepchildren, Samantha Scheffler, Austin Faux, Allie Faux; grandchildren, Ross Cuevas, Oliva Clark, Leo Bell; sisters, Andrea (Bob) Delph, Kathie Mason (Rick Shanks); brother and sister-in-law, Jake Scheffler, Tia (Brandon) Lemay and children; niece and nephews, Jordan Davis (Theresa Sheley), Brooklyn (Tim) Meier, Brice (Samantha) Delph, Dylan (Daniela) O’ Dell; an aunt, uncles, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Jones; maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, a niece, and an uncle.
Jarrod will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with the memorial starting at 4:00 PM at the Tipton City Park Pavilion. Please dress casually or wear your favorite sports team attire.
