Jean E. Green

Jean Elaine (Badgley) Green, age 86, of Tipton passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2024 with her son, Dino by her side. Jean was born on March 21, 1938 to her biological parents, Bud and Virginia Badgley, and was later adopted by Otto and Edna Hiatt. On May 31, 1964, Jean married the love of her life, Cecil Green. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2007.  

Jean graduated from Tipton High School in the class of 1957. She worked for Tipton Nursing Home for many years. Jean was a dedicated wife and mother, and her faith was very important to her. She was a proud member of Community Fellowship Church, where she played the piano. Jean enjoyed reading Nancy Drew books, and spending time at the senior center for bingo and games. Jean was a faithful friend with a very giving heart to anyone who needed her. She never missed an opportunity to brag on her son, whom she adored. She was also a huge animal lover. All of her animals were treated as if they were her children. Jean will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  

Those left to carry on Jean’s legacy of love are her son, Dino Green; and brothers, Pat Badgley and Mike (Judy) Badgley. 

Jean was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Cecil Green; parents, Bud & Virginia Badgley, Otto & Edna Hiatt; sister, Georgie Koors; and beloved cat, Millie.  

A visitation to honor Jean will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. In Tipton.
