John Dunn Obituary

John Dunn, age 73, of Rochester, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.  John was born on August 20, 1947, in Elwood, Indiana to his parents, Donald & Emmanell (Small) Dunn.  John married Susan Goetz on January 22, 2005; they shared 15 years together.

John was a graduate of Sheridan High School, class of 1965.  John was an Indiana State Trooper for 21 years before retiring.   
John was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Police, post 143. He loved tractors, Massey Ferguson being his favorite!  He served as secretary of the Indiana Massey Collectors.  In his down time, he enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs.  He was a true kid at heart, always very involved with his children; he served as a 4-H leader as well as coached little league when his children were younger.   
Those left to carry on John’s legacy of love are his wife, Susan Dunn; mother, Emmanell Dunn; children; Steven (Suzanne) Dunn, Dwain Dunn, Sheri (Shawn) Ramsay; stepchildren, Jennifer (Philip) Santoro, Kathryn (Lance) Stewart; grandchildren, Holly Dunn, Skylar Ramsay, Sierra Ramsay; step-grandchildren, Austin Baxter, Eva Baxter, Philip Santoro; siblings, Walter (Lynn) Dunn, Linda (Gregg) Kegler, Gary (Debbie) Dunn, and Ann Cox.
John was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Donald Dunn. 
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Noon at Fairview Cemetery located at 418 Fairview Road Tipton, IN 46072.
