Julie Lynn (Myers) VanHorn, 67 of Greenwood passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 after a long and hard fought battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born on April 1, 1958 to her parents, Truman Myers and Maxine (Richie) Myers in Kokomo, Indiana. Julie married Jeffery VanHorn on September 6, 1980, and they were married for 34 years until Jeff's death in 2014.
Julie graduated from Taylor High School in the class of 1976. She worked for several years at Delco Electronics (now GM Components) before her MS diagnosis in 1990. She lived a quiet life that was focused on faith, family and friends. If you knew her, you were blessed. Julie had a presence that put others at ease. She took the time to get to know people. Julie carried herself in a way that lifted others up. She could make just about anyone laugh with her quick wit. She was definitely responsible for bringing a great deal of joy to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed!
