Kris Ross Obituary

Phillip Kris Ross, aka Kris, age 61, of Tipton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 13, 1961 to his parents, Phillip Max Ross and Sherry I. (Owens) Ross.

Kris attended Clinton Central High School, and graduated in the Class of ’78. Through the years Kris worked for Morris-Sutherd Trucking, Miller Farms and Joe Adair Farms. He loved driving a semi, and would take his family with him on routes as often as he could. Kris also enjoyed racing, fishing, being outdoors, and tinkering with race cars. It’s safe to say, Kris thoroughly enjoyed his garage time.

Kris was very committed to his family. He married the love of his life, Dina Murray Ross on June 4, 2004. Kris and Dina shared a very special bond, and the love they shared is reflected in the lives of their kids and grandkids. Kris was stubborn, manly, and could be stern when needed. He was able to keep everyone on their toes while also bringing a lot of fun and laughs to every situation. He absolutely loved being a papaw, and never missed an opportunity to brag on his grandkids! Kris was a “people person” and many might say he was their best friend; this is no doubt because of Kris’ truly selfless and giving nature. Kris was a gift to those he loved, and will be missed beyond measure!

Those left to carry on Kris’ legacy of love are his wife, Dina Murray Ross; children, Derek Kris Ross, Shelbie Marie (Kaleb) Farlow, Max Bryant (Josie Henry) Ross, Cody Shupperd; grandkids, Elanie, Lucas, Liam, Levi and Lincoln Farlow and Jaxen Brooks Henry; Sisters, Tracy (Brian) Lawson, Terry Dautrich; nieces & nephews, Jessica Cast, Jeffrey Cast, and Kalie, Kyle & Kara Dautrich; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends. Kris was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Phillip & Sherry Ross; grandparents, Willard & Helen Owens; uncle, Jake Owens; cousin, Scotty Shepard; and grandson, Leonitus Gustin-Ray Farlow.
