Lana S. (Utsler) Cannan

Lana S. Cannan, age 76, of Tipton, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Community Howard Regional Health Hospital in Kokomo with her loving family by her side. Lana was born in Richmond, Indiana on December 13, 1944, to her parents, Eddie & Sheryl (Reed) Utsler. 

Lana was a Centerville High School graduate, class of 1962.  She had several different jobs over the years, but her favorite was working at Miller’s Merry Manor where she was the Activities Director for 11 years.  

For many years, Lana owned her own craft store where she shared her vast knowledge with others through teaching.  She had so much artistic talent and she loved to share her passion of crafts with those around her. 

If you were lucky enough to spend much time with Lana, you know how quiet she could be.  Even though she was quiet, those she held near to her heart never had to wonder how she felt about them; she showed her love with her kindness and willingness to help in any way she could. 

One of her favorite places to be was at home, she was a true homebody!  Lana’s family meant the world to her; she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly. She will be missed so much.

Those left to carry on Lana’s legacy of love are her sons, Bradley (Ana) Dunn and Tony Cox; grandchildren, Liam Dunn, Ethan Dunn, Nick (Christian) Cox, Toni Cox; great grandson, Felix Cox; siblings, Sharon Barker, Larry (Kathy) Utsler, John Utsler, Shirley Conning; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.   

She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Eddie & Sheryl Utsler; and her daughter in law, Debbie Cox.
