Linda "Lin" Goodman Obituary

Linda Ann (Borden) Goodman, age 75, of Kokomo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Lin was born on April 1, 1947 in Tipton, IN to her parents, Lawrence Borden & Melba (Ogden) Borden.

Lin was a 1965 graduate of Tipton High School. Shortly after graduation she married the love of her life, Michael Goodman, on November 26, 1965, and the two shared nearly 57 years of marriage. Lin worked for Jim Dandy Restaurants, where she was Waitress Supervisor for over 20 years. She also worked for Dan Young GM Center in customer service, before retiring  in 2007.

Lin and her husband, Michael were members at East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood for over 16 years. They lived a life of devotion to one another, dedicating everyday to reflecting God’s love to their family as well as their community. Lin faithfully prayed and studied, and always made her relationship with the Lord a priority in her life. Lin had the respect of many, as she was a trustworthy, kind, and loyal soul.

Lin’s family was of the utmost importance to her, but she did have a few hobbies that she made time for. She loved traveling and going to the beach, cooking (a skill she attained from her mother), watching the Cubs, and watching Peyton Manning during his football years. Lin also loved to shop! So much so, that her family swears she probably owned some stock in QVC. Lin was fun natured and often the life of the party! She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those left to carry on Lin’s legacy of love are her husband, Michael Goodman; son, Brian (Tony) Goodman Holliday; son-in-law, Bill Bronson; brother, Fred Borden; sister, Esther Harrison; grandchildren, Shelby (David) Goodman Teboe, Tristian (Bianca) Goodman; great grandson, Jason Teboe; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lin was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Lawrence & Melba Borden; daughter, Cheryl Bronson; sister, Beverly Kennedy; and brother-in-law, Mike Harrison.

A funeral service celebrating Lin’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. In Tipton, with Pastor James Ricker officiating. Visitation for family and friends will take place prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
