Lisa Earlene (Strange) Carlson, age 67, of Tipton, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at The Waters of Tipton with her loving family by her side. She was born in Jefferson City, Tennessee on August 15, 1956, to her parents, Eugene Strange and Evelyn (Massengill) Delawder. Lisa married Wesley Carlson in 1989; they shared 23 years of marriage before Wesley passed away in 2012.
Lisa attended Tipton High School. She was primarily a homemaker, yet had several part-time jobs through the years to help her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild were her pride and joy. Lisa loved having gatherings when all of the family could get together. She was always the life of the party and had a gift for making others feel welcome. She was truly a fun person to hang around with; everything was better when she was there! Lisa had a smile that lit up any room, and will forever be remembered for her bright lipstick as well as sporting the color purple. Lisa enjoyed listening to music, reading Lisa Gardner books, watching the Wizard of Oz over, and over again, sipping her tea and coffee, and entertaining her amazing family. Lisa was one of a kind, and will be missed beyond measure!
Those left to carry on Lisa’s legacy of love are her children, Jason (Laurie) Nelson, Amanda (JR) Tuttle; grandchildren, Sierra Nelson, Brendyn (Katie) Nelson, Camden Nelson, Korbin Nelson; great granddaughter, Irelyn Nelson; siblings, LaDonna (Ken) Cunningham, Sharon Delawder, Phyllis Townsend, Brenda Delawder, Rhoda Baker, Phyllis Cornwell; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and beloved dog, Zoey.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Strange, Maynard & Evelyn Delawder; husband, Wesley Carlson; and brother, Mark Delawder.
Out of respect for Lisa’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held.
