Marvin C. Scheffler, age 72, of Kokomo, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Tipton on May 3, 1951, to his parents, Lloyd & Ruth (Ogden) Scheffler. Marvin married the love of his life, Connie Molden, on July 7, 1970, in Tipton. They were high school sweethearts, sharing 53 wonderful years together and a lifetime of memories.
Marvin was a graduate of Tipton High School, the class of 1969. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Navy. When his term was up, he began working at Chrysler Transmission from where he retired in 2004 after 31 and a half years. He was a member of the UAW Local 685.
Marvin was a very social guy; he loved to be around people and never met a stranger. He liked playing cards, games, and just enjoying life to the fullest. Marvin was so kindhearted but at the same time would aggravate the tar out of you to get a laugh.
In his free time, he could often be found watching Nascar, going fishing, and camping.
Marvin leaves behind his wife, Connie Scheffler; daughter, Stephanie (Rod) Hipskind; siblings, Brenda Scheffler, Earl Scheffler; grandchildren, Lilly (Levi), Joey; great grandchildren, Paisley and Oliver.
Preceding Marvin's death are his parents, Lloyd & Ruth Scheffler; son, Doug Scheffler; and granddaughter, Megan Stines.
