Molly Hobbs Obituary

Molly Ann Hobbs, 98, of Tipton passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025, after a brief stay at The Waters of Tipton, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 7, 1927 to her parents, Alford and Lois Jordan in Vincennes, Indiana.

She moved to Tipton with her first husband, Raymond Roach where she raised her two sons. Later she married Donald Hobbs, he was the love of her life, and they had many happy years together until his passing.

Molly never learned to drive but with a good pair of tennis shoes she traveled many miles walking in town every day. She was always kind, compassionate, and loved to laugh. It came natural to her to spread happiness to those who came in contact with her. She loved animals and would take treats to feed them on her daily walk. Molly was strong in her faith and shared a tremendous amount of love with her precious family and really anyone she crossed paths with. She will be missed beyond measure by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Those left to carry on Molly’s legacy of love are her children, James Roach, David (Beth) Roach, Dean Hobbs, Darryl Hobbs, and Dennis (Lisa) Hobbs, all of Tipton.

Molly is also survived by her grandchildren, Adrian (Cara) Roach, Corey (Jason) Clark, Matthew (Lisa) Barbosa, Rebecca (Ralph) Tommarello, James Roach Jr., Joshua Miller, Joshua (Rachel) Hobbs, Laura (Darrick) Kelley, as well as several great and great-great grandchildren.

Molly was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Molly attended West Street Christian Church, served as Grand Marshal in the Tipton County Pork Festival, and worked at Tipton Memorial Hospital for several years caring for her community.

Special thanks to caregivers, Lisa, Audra, and Robin for their loving care; neighbors, Frank & Dorcus Crider and Roger & Viola Brown, as well as dear friend, Colette Silence.  Special thanks also are extended to Kelly, Alisha and the entire Guardian Angel Hospice Team for their wonderful care, as well as The Waters of Tipton for their compassionate care following Molly’s recent surgery.

To honor Molly’s wishes, cremation will take place and a family graveside memorial service will be held in the Spring.
