Patricia Lynne (Parrett) Whitehead

Patricia Lynne Whitehead, age 54, of Tipton, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born on January 28, 1967 to her parents, James Parrett and R. Elaine (Helmandollar) Hall.  Tish married the love of her life, Jeffery Whitehead on July 4, 1985 in Indian Lake, Ohio.  The two shared 36 years of marriage and raised 2 wonderful sons.

Tish was a graduate of Indian Lake High School, class of 1985.  Later in life, she attended Ivy Tech where she earned several different types of certificates, including accounting.  She worked as a mortgage loan processor for many years, but her favorite job was being a homemaker, and she did it well!

Tish’s biggest joy in life came from her grandbabies.  She soaked up every moment she got to spend with them.  Tish could be hard to get to know but once she got to know you, you were in her circle for life!  She was someone that loved to take care of others; often feeding neighborhood kids because they “looked hungry”.

Some of her favorite things to do in her free time was camping, hosting dinners or parties, and making sure all of those around her had enough to eat!  She was known for inquisitiveness, always asking questions to get to know someone better.  She truly had a love for those she let into her circle and if you were lucky enough to be one of those special people, you felt blessed.

Those left to carry on Tish’s legacy of love are her Parents, James (Judy) Parrett and R. Elaine Hall; Husband, Jeff Whitehead; Children, Christopher (Meg) Whitehead and Andrew (Holly) Whitehead; Grandchildren, Hallee Whitehead, Audree Whitehead, Maddee Whitehead, Christian Whitehead; Brother, Jim (Lacey) Parrett; Sister, Kelly Hall; and Nephew, Griffin Parrett.

Tish was welcomed into Heaven by her two precious grandbabies, Caroline & Aria Whitehead.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main Street Tipton, IN at 1:00PM with Pastor Judi Purvis officiating.  A visitation for friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.  Committal will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery.
