Ronald Oyler Obituary

Ronald Bruce Oyler, age 86, of Kempton, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Ron was born in Tipton County, Indiana on December 19, 1935 to his parents, Lowrye & Virginia (Clouser) Oyler. On October 11, 1957, Ron married the love of his life, Linda Lee Miller.  They shared 64 years of marriage while raising three wonderful children.

Ron was a graduate of Cutler High School, class of 1954. After high school, he went on to technical school, graduating with a certificate in Railroad.  He worked on the Norfolk Southern Railroad until retirement.  Ron loved to work and always found something to keep him busy. Once he retired, he kept busy farming and working for Total Seed Production. Until very recently, he enjoyed mowing, splitting wood, and cutting down trees, not tasks that many men in their 80’s are willing take on but he did it with joy in his heart!  Ron was an incredibly driven, hardworking man and put everything he had into the task at hand.  He enjoyed camping and gardening as well.

Ron put just as much time and heart into his family.  He was an incredibly devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  Ron loved his family dearly and his legacy of love and work ethic will be seen for generations to come.

Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army before serving 6 years in the National Guard. He was a member of the Kempton Christian Church.  He was an avid lover of train engines.

Those left to carry on Ron’s legacy of love are his wife, Linda Oyler; children, Susan Hill, Shannon (Kevin) Deboy, Bruce Oyler; grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Papandria; John Deboy, David Deboy; great grandchildren, Vivian Papandria, Henry Papandria, Emerson Deboy; sister, Jeanette Bray; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ron was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Lowrye & Virginia Oyler, and son in law, Arley Hill.

Ron’s wishes were that no service be held.
