Samantha Mae Brown Obituary

Samantha Mae Brown, age 13, crossed over the rainbow bridge on Thursday, August 4, 2022, while surround by those she loved most in this world. Her family wrote a beautiful tribute to her.

Samantha Mae, also known as Sam Sam, Sammi, or very lovingly Potato Dog was adopted in 2009 by her mom Katie Brown. From the moment they first met, Sam Sam and Katie were absolutely inseparable. Sam wasn't a dog to play with toys, but only wanted to be with her people. Sam was a very smart and loyal dog. The very first day of her coming home with Katie, she even knew her own name. They truly were soulmates.

Sam enjoyed sleeping on the couch with her people and her favorite things to do were ride in the car, lay directly in front of doors so you couldn't close them, and howl with her people. Sam was such a good howler she could even howl I love you very clearly. All she ever wanted to do was sleep, eat, and cuddle. Sam never saw anything wrong with anybody and was the type of dog that if you accidentally stepped on her she would come check on you. Sam was a fighter until the very end and passed away on her mom's lap which was her favorite place to be. She fought until she was told that it's ok and her people would be strong for her. That was all she needed to know.

Sammi will be extremely missed every day by her people; Katie Brown (mom), Kendall Kitchener (dad), Destony (sister), and Rylan (brother). She is also very missed by her fur siblings; Gadget (brother of 12 years), Rheya (sister of 3 years), and Eevee (puppy sister of 8 months). She is going to spend forever with her human brother Easton in Heaven and for that her people take great joy in knowing.

Losing Sam was as hard as losing a human family member. There will forever be a hole in our home, but we are thankful she can see and can howl again. We love you Samantha Mae, you truly were the very best girl.

“Dogs have given us their absolute all.

We are the center of their universe.

We are the focus of their love and faith and trust.

They serve us in return for scraps.

It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made.”
