Scout Pearson Obituary

Scout "Scouty Boy" Pearson, age 16, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday, January 6, 2022, surrounded by those he loved most in this world.  He was born on July 25, 2005.

Scout was such a one-of-a-kind guy; he was fun, very loving, loyal, and yes could be a stinker at times but that made him all the more loveable. He was always such a good sport when his mom wanted to dress him up in his costumes for the holidays.  One time she bought some boots and a jacket for him as it was cold out and he flipped his back legs up and walked down the outside stairs on his front paws, it was so hilarious!  He would walk like that in the house as well and shake his feet trying to get them off.

Scout was a true momma’s boy, he loved to follow her around the house and outside.  Wherever she was, you could find him right beside her. When you would talk to him, he would talk back, truly just made everyone giggle. His favorite treat was Filet Mignon meaty milk bones, and his family was happy to oblige. When his family had visitors at their home, they always had to greet him so that he knew you were ok, then would go lay down.  He loved people and never new a stranger once he got to know you which was usually in the first five minutes!  Scout was very protective of his human brother as well; always following him around as a toddler and making sure he was ok.

His mom, Becky, had a very sweet story to share about how he came into their family:

I was out and about one brisk October day shopping and decided to stop in the pet store to look at the fish tanks and just see what they had for animals, I walked into this back room and here was this cute little brown puppy with a black face and big sad eyes in the back of his cage.  I stood there, he came up and I was talking to him and petting him.  I left and did some more errands and I could not stop thinking of that adorable little guy, I went back to the pet store and there was some people walking around that room and stopping to see him, he would not come up to the front of the cage for them to see him, I walked up to the cage after them and he immediately came to the front, I asked if I could hold him, they took him out and he just snuggled into my arms.  That was all I needed to know is that he wanted to go home with me and so we went to the front and paid, he and I started our journey.   Scout was such an amazing companion, he helped me through some of the toughest times in my life, he was also amazing for my mom until she passed, he was always at her side as well.  We had 16-1/2years with him, he is missed so much.  Run Free sweet boy until we meet again, greet your grandparents for us.

Scout is survived by Human Mom Becky & Brother Tayeb.

His grandma & grandpa were waiting for him at the end of the Rainbow Bridge ready to show him the beauty of Heaven.

Please feel free to leave a condolence or share a special memory of Scout with his family on his tribute wall.

When I look into the eyes of an animal,

I do not see an animal.

I see a living being.

I see a friend.

I see a soul.
