Shelley (Arnett) Off-Asher, age 70, of Tipton, went home to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, July 15, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 4, 1953 to her parents, James Porter Arnett & Livie Jean (Perrin) Arnett. Shelley married James “Ronnie” Asher on November 14, 2013, and he survives.
Shelley attended Westfield High School in the class of 1971. She worked for Steel Parts in Tipton for many years, and retired in 2020. Shelley was extremely loyal and committed in every aspect of life. She was an amazing wife, daughter, mother and grandmother and was an incredible support system for her loved ones. Shelley was strong in her faith and was a proud member of the Church of Christ in Tipton. She led by example, and impacted those around her with her tenacious and giving spirit.
In Shelley’s spare time you may have found her shopping, cooking, or tending to her flowers and garden. More than anything, Shelley enjoyed spending time with her family and dear friends. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her!
Those left to carry on Shelley’s legacy of love are her husband, Ronnie Asher; mother, Livie Jean Arnett; children, Deana (Scott) Moorhous, James (Lametra) Off, Joe (Amanda) Asher; siblings, Tony Arnett, Debbie Emberton, Norma (Ray) Horlacher, Misty (Lance) Robinson; grandkids, Kelsey Stewart (Ryan Halbur), Preston Stewart, Emmanuel Randle, Logann Asher, Wrenley Asher, Joseph Fleming; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shelley was welcomed into Heaven by her father, James Arnett; brother, Randy Arnett; and beloved dog, Josie.
A funeral service celebrating Shelley’s life will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N. Main St. In Tipton with Pastor John Ankrum officiating. Visitation for family and friends will take place prior to the service from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
