Skip (Skippy) Davis

Skip (Skippy) Davis, was born on November 22, 2011 and crossed over the rainbow bridge on August 16, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Skip was born into a litter of “Labs” (that’s what we thought we were getting), but as he grew we noticed he had hound in his blood as well. It was evident in his bark, soft long ears, and nose that would catch a scent in the wind. Skip was welcomed into our family by his bigger, and older chocolate lab buddy, Boone and kitty, Bullet. 

Skippy was a gentle and loving soul who looked forward to going on walks in town (Atlanta) with Mom and Dad. He never met a stranger and was always on the lookout for treats while walking. Skippy’s nose really got him in trouble one time when he snuck out of the yard and went to a neighbor who had horses. He sheepishly came home with green, fresh manure all around his neck. He thought it was WONDERFUL! Always looking for a snack, one Halloween mom had made 13 cupcakes for the trick or treaters and after she left for work he reached up on the kitchen island and ate 12. He would have ate all 13, but was interrupted by Alex stopping by. All that was left of the crime scene was a footprint made from icing. He always knew when lunchtime rolled around, ready for his peanut butter sandwich. He was a good sport playing with grandchildren, Emmy and Tucker. Emmy loved to play doctor with Skip. As long as there was a kibble in the pill box he’d go right along. The stories and memories are endless. 

Rest in peace till we meet again, Skippy. Love, Kay & Denny, Alex, Tori, Emmy, Tucker, and fur sibling, Minnie Mouser.
