Steven M. Cage Sr., age 68, of Kokomo, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Community Howard Regional. Steve was born on November 4, 1956, in Tipton, Indiana to his parents, Harold Leroy Cage Jr. and Marilyn Ann (Holloway) Cage.
Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army at Fort Hood, Texas from 1976-1980 and reenlisted in the Army Reserves from 1980-1982. During his time in the miliary he was awarded a medal for his skills as a Sharpshoot Specialist (Rifle). He was a member of the VFW Post 1152 in Kokomo.
Steve enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and rode with his buddies any chance he got. He loved tattoos and had many works of art that he proudly displayed on his body. He would never turn down a cup of coffee, it was a staple in his everyday routine. He loved nothing more than to spend time with his children and grandchildren; he will be greatly missed!
Steve was a simple man and although he could be a little rough around the edges, he loved with all of his heart. He was known to be outspoken and often used colorful language, but you always knew where you stood with him, a trait many appreciate.
Those left to carry on Steve’s legacy of love are his children, Cheryl Emmert (Burke), Steven Michael Cage Jr.; grandchildren, Alison Davis (Tyler), Brook Brown (Martin), Gabriel Emmert, Sawyer Emmert, Shelby Cage, Michael Cage, Tabby Cage, Hannah Cage, Emily Griggs, Dylan Manton, Zoe Cage, Makayla Cage; great grandchildren, Carter, Monroe, Jr., Cash, Mayson, Aiden, Braiden; siblings, Cheryl Small (Mitch Sandy), Greg Cage (Tammy); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Steve was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Harold & Marilyn Cage.
