Thomas Wendell Bolton

Thomas Wendell Bolton, age 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. He was born on September 24, 1957 in Tipton County to his parents, Wendell Bolton and Carolyn (Miller) Bolton.  

Tom graduated from Tipton High School in the class of 1976. He spent years working for Red Gold in Elwood. He also worked as an installer for the telephone company.  

Most folks that knew Tom would probably say he was a loner. He definitely had a mind of his own, and confidently did his own thing. With that being said, he had an extremely kind heart and never hesitated to help others when he could. Those closest to Tom appreciated his resilient spirit, as well as his commitment to continue fighting even when life sometimes dealt him a crappy hand. In Tom’s younger years he was an amazing dancer, and his talent brought joy and entertainment to many. Tom found a great deal of hope from his faith, and was thankful for his membership at First Baptist Church in Tipton. Tom will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him!  

Those left to carry on Tom’s legacy of love are his mother, Carolyn Bolton; sisters, Debra (Timothy) Gensch, Susan (Lynch) Denicola; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Bolton.
