Tigger Captain, age 12, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, March 30, 2024.
Tigger’s birthday is celebrated every year on September 11, 2011. He was found as a stray at around 6 months old. He was outside in the pouring rain; his dad always said, “God gave him to me.” And he was right! Tigger was the sweetest boy who loved showing people how great pitbulls could be. Tigger's nickname was Rudy.
One of his favorite things to do was to play with "Mamaw's balls." Which were green fuzzy squeaky tennis balls. He loved anything that squeaked or made noise. One of his favorite things to do besides chase balls, was go for rides. Tigger was super friendly; he loved everyone he met, human or four legged, and they loved him right back! He was notorious for his wardrobe and accessories such as hats, sunglasses, coat, and winter boots. He simply had the best personality and sweetest disposition.
Like a true pitbull, he loved to eat! His favorite food was bread and yogurt was a close second.
His dad had this to say about him, “He was my first dog. We spent every single day together for 12 years. He was my heart and soul, the very best friend I’ve ever had.”
Survivors include his Daddy, Mamaw, and Cocoa. He will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege to know him.
"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace." ― Milan Kundera
