Tyler Ashton Stephenson, age 32, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Marion, Indiana on April 29, 1991, to his parents, Matthew Stephenson & Lora (Ricks) Stephenson.
Tyler graduated from Mississinewa High School in the class 2009. He was currently working toward his HVAC certification.
Tyler was a talented baseball player in his younger years. He was very tech savvy and enjoyed working on computers. He loved tattoos, and proudly displayed many!
You couldn’t find a nicer guy than Tyler. He was very giving and always tried to see the best in others. He never knew a stranger and loved to be surrounded by lots of friends. He was known for random acts of kindness, always on the lookout for others that may be in need of assistance. He would often carry the groceries of strangers if they looked like they needed a hand, always without a second thought of anything in return. He was a happy soul and will always be remembered for his contagious laugh. He never cared about the materialistic things of this world. He was proud to volunteer in his church and enjoyed bible study.
Those left to carry on Tyler’s legacy of love are his parents, Lora Stephenson, Matthew “Pops” (Amie) Stephenson; brother, Joseph (Rachel) Garcia; step-sister, Raygen Curtis; grandparents, Connie & Bob Moore; aunts and uncles, Cheryl Ontiyeros, Chad Ricks, Chris Ricks, Michelle Horton, Tony Stephenson, Richard McCart, Renee Dodson, Nancy McCart; nieces and nephews, Anayla Ricks, Matthew Ricks, Aiden Ricks, Brooklynn Garcia, Madilynn Garcia, Alexandra Garcia; cousins, Nathan Ricks, Nijal Ricks, Antonio Reyes, David Quintana, Bradley Horton, Ragen Dodson, Ben Stephenson, Daniel Stephenson, Layla Grace Ricks, Amanda Ricks; pastor/friend, Hal Hutton; as well as cousin and best friend, Nicholas McCart.
