Veda Lois Wilson, 91, Kokomo, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 5th 2020 at North Woods Village. She was born on December 2nd 1928 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Thomas G. and Bessie (Blount) Dodd. She was married for 26 years to Thomas D. Wilson who preceded her in death in August 1985.
Veda was one of a kind. Her sense of humor and quick smile kept everyone entertained and joyful. All who knew her loved her for her generous, kind, sweet and loving spirit. She was a devout Christian and a 50 year member of First Assembly of God Kokomo. She was blessed with a Christian heritage that she handed down to her two children Timothy and Joy as well as her eight grandchildren. She always believed in the importance of keeping short accounts with God and her family. There was always a hug and “I love you” until the next gathering.
She is survived by her son, Timothy T. Wilson and daughter-in-law, Tami S. Wilson, grandchildren, Sara Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Casey Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Brandon Wade, Amanda Kinsey, Courtney Owen, Kristen Wade, and five great grandchildren, Ava Akbari, Aven Tillo, Eleanor Tillo, Juniper Owen, and Jackson Owen.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Joy Edwards, her parents, one brother Thomas Dodd, three sisters Evelyn Dodd, Fay Rose and Zella Ealy.
