Vickie Ann (Everling) Watts

Vickie Ann Everling, age 71, of Tipton, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at IU Methodist in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Vickie was born in Elwood, Indiana on June 26, 1951, to her parents, Frank & Nedra (Gray) Everling.  She married Tom Watts on June 7, 1975, in Sheridan, Indiana.  They shared 20 years of marriage before he passed away on September 1, 1995.

Vickie was a graduate of Windfall High School, class of 1969.  She worked at Walmart for 28 years as a CMS.  She enjoyed her job; the best part was getting to talk to so many people throughout the day.

Vickie was someone that made connections easily and she would gladly welcome others into her heart.  She was incredibly giving and had a wonderful personality.  Her kind and sweet demeanor naturally drew people to her.  She loved to laugh and make others laugh as well.  As she got older, she grew more sensitive and really took it to heart if someone was upset with her.

You couldn’t ask for a better mom or grandma!  Her family meant the world to her.  She loved nothing more than a family gathering with lots of food and fellowship.  In her free time, she enjoyed going to garage sales, shopping in Shipshewana, taking cruises with the girls, and reading a good book.

Those left to carry on Vickie’s legacy of love are her daughter, Kylee (James Lawson) Watts; grandsons, Joel Watts, Aidyn Watts; siblings, Susan (John) Grubb, Frankie Everling, Sarah (Jose) Everling, Mike (Jeanne) Everling, Rory (Sharon) Everling, Greg (Nita) Everling; brother-in-law, Shawn Brannum; daughter-in-law, Jody Watts; lifelong best friend, Patti Waymire; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Vickie was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Frank & Nedra Everling; husband, Tom Watts; son, Tye Watts; sister, Julie Brannum; sister-in-law, Kathy Everling; and granddaughter, Ayanna Tamika Watts.

A funeral service celebrating Vickie’s life will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 7:00 PM at Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home, located at 314 N Main St. in Tipton, IN, with Pastor Joe Brock officiating. A visitation for family & friends will take place prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
