Virginia Wyrick Obituary

Virginia “Ginny” Adele (Salsbery) Wyrick, age 100, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born on May 14, 1921 to her parents, Phenias Salsbery & Lois (Hollingsworth) Salsbery. Ginny married the love of her life, John Wyrick on April 12, 1941 and the two enjoyed 74 years of marriage before John’s passing on March 17, 2016.

Virginia was a 1939 graduate of Sharpsville High School. She lived on a farm her whole life. Ginny was an avid seamstress, sewing most of her dresses and many outfits for her daughter and son. She was a great supporter of 4-H, cheering on her children in all their projects. Many years were spent alongside her husband at their little store near Hemlock where they featured their farm fresh eggs. Ginny was great with her customers and friends; truly enjoyed chatting and being neighborly. Virginia was a lifelong member of Hemlock Friends Church. She absolutely loved music and singing. Ginny was quite gifted with the ability of recitation. It brought her great joy to entertain her church congregation with special recitations, such as “Little Sammy Green” and “Betty at the Ballpark.”

Virginia led a simple life. She loved being the wife of a farmer. She left a lasting impression with anyone who crossed paths with her. Even though she spent 100 years on this earth, those who knew her would still love more days with her sweet spirit! Ginny was one of a kind and will be greatly missed!

Those left to carry on Virginia’s legacy of love are her Children, Larry Wyrick of Sharpsville, Linda (Rik) Lineback of Indianapolis; Grandchildren, Kim (Cricket) Wyrick, Ginger (Brent) Walker, Clu (Colleen) Wyrick, Erinn (John) Razumich, John (Kat) Lineback, Lucas Lineback; Great Grandchildren, Justin Wyrick, Coy & Lindsay Walker, Saydie & Colby Wyrick, Hendrix Lineback; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia was welcomed into Heaven by her Parents, Phenias Salsbery & Lois Salsbery; also, her Step-Mother, Flossie (Farmer) Salsbery; who raised Ginny from the age of 6 after her mother’s passing. Ginny was also preceded in death by her Husband, John Wyrick; Brother, Dale Salsbery; Sister-In-Law, Betty Salsbery; and Daughter-In-Law, Donna Wyrick.
