Wanda (Wood) Morrisett

Wanda E. (Wood) Morrisett, age 74, of Tipton, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis with her loving family by her side. She was born in Indianapolis on July 16, 1949, to her parents, Ernie & Betty Wood.  Wanda married the love of her life, Allen Morrisett, on August 8, 1996, sharing 28 amazing years together.

Wanda had a very calm demeanor, she liked to just go with the flow.  She enjoyed spending time with her husband.  They kept life fun spending time together on the golf course, the bowling alley, and with friends.  Wanda liked to knit in her free time and made the most beautiful blankets.   

She was a great mother and grandmother; she loved every second she was able to spend with them.  She was an avid dog lover and would spoil them rotten! 

Those left to carry on Wanda’s legacy of love are her husband, Allen Morrisett; children, Carla Stafford (Gene), Racheal Stewart, Jake Walden (Lisa), Mike Walden, Teresa Dagon (Dirk), Debbie Murray (Orvil); siblings, Gene Wood (Connie), Anita Shoots (Terry); sister-in-law, Pam Wood; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  

Wanda was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Ernie & Betty Wood; and brothers, Ed Wood, Richard Wood, George Wood (Connie), and John Wood.

A Celebration of Wanda’s life is being planned for next summer, we will update once details are finalized.
